Alma and Amulek left the city of Ammonihah and went to Sidom, which is where all the believes had fled to. They found Zeezrom there, sick with a burning fever because of his guilt for attacking Alma and Amulek. They went to him and found that he had gained faith in Christ, so they healed him. From then on, Zeezrom was a faithful preacher. Alma and Amulek organized a church in Sidom, and then they took some time to rest and recover from their adventures. But then an army of Lamanites came out of nowhere and destroyed the city of Ammonihah and everyone who lived there. They also captured some prisoners from other nearby lands. The leader of the Nephite armies asked Alma what to do, and he inquired of the Lord, who revealed the Lamanite plans. to them. With this information, the Nephites were able to defeat the Lamanites and rescue the prisoners. After that, things were peaceful and all of the Nephites were righteous.
